Design-build-test-learn cycles for strains and processes, plus prototyping space for new bioprocess hardware. Screening at CERES today; the rest in build-out.
BioFoundry → Builder’s Lab →Train your team
Competency-based tracks in bioreactor operation, remote monitoring, and downstream processing. In development with Worcester-area colleges.
BETC →Capacity: 100 µL to 100 L
Every scale from screening to 100 L runs in Worcester today. CERES screens at microliter volumes; the Bioprocess Center takes microbial fermentation from 1 L to 100 L on contract. What the BioHub adds is newer equipment, shared access for companies without a WPI research relationship, and a downstream train built for bioindustrial products rather than pharmaceuticals.
