Work With Us
Who we work with · How to get started
The WPI-MBI BioHub is designed to be easy to engage with — whatever your role. Find your path below and reach out to start a conversation.
Startup founder
You need facility access, fast — without giving up equity or getting tangled in long procurement cycles. The BioHub is built for that. Early-stage bioindustrial startups can access WPI CERES capabilities today, and pilot-scale fermentation, process development, and strain engineering infrastructure is coming online over the next three years.
No equity is taken. No faculty involvement is required unless you want it. Engagements can be scoped in a few weeks.
Industry partner
Looking for a sustained research partnership — multi-year, with a clear IP framework, defined deliverables, and access across the BioHub network? That’s what our research partnership track is built for. Best for organizations seeking ongoing strain development, process optimization, or co-development of new platforms.
Researcher / educator
Interested in curriculum collaboration, joint R&D, or faculty access? The BioHub is building partnerships with regional educators and academic labs to develop bioindustrial training programs and collaborative research. Whether you’re developing a new course, looking for a pilot-scale testbed, or exploring a joint grant, we want to hear from you.
Job seeker / trainee
The BioHub is building workforce development tracks in bioreactor operation, remote process monitoring, and downstream processing. These are competency-based, hands-on programs designed specifically for bioindustrial manufacturing — not repurposed from biopharma training. Target launch is Year 3 of the initiative. If you’re interested in being notified when programs open, or if you’re an employer looking to hire trained talent, reach out.
Following along
Not ready to engage formally but want to keep tabs on what the BioHub is building? That’s completely fine — drop us a line and we’ll make sure you hear from us when there’s something worth sharing.
